What's happening: The third grade students at Tisdale School organized a heartwarming event on Friday, April 26, where they hosted 234 of their beloved "Grandfriends" for a delightful tea party.

  • Amidst a cheerful ambiance, the young hosts regaled their guests with sweet melodies, heartfelt poems, and endearing anecdotes, reflecting on the cherished moments they've shared together.

  • The gymnasium underwent a magical transformation into a picturesque spring garden, adorned with the beaming faces.

The event was led by Tisdale music teacher Samantha Campbell, featuring performances by the students that include popular songs and solo recitations of short poems and favorite memories, with students even stepping off stage mid-show to share sentimental sing-alongs and a bite to eat with their guests.

Why it matters: Every moment was infused with love and joy, creating an atmosphere brimming with warmth and smiles. The event undoubtedly left an indelible mark on both the students and their Grandfriends, serving as a cherished memory that will linger fondly in their hearts, symbolizing the essence of community and connection fostered at Tisdale School.

What they’re saying:
“Mrs. Campbell encouraged us and taught us really well so I felt good the day of the show. We did a great job and I am very proud.” -Ben F.

“At the beginning, I felt a little nervous to perform, but after I did it, I felt proud and felt like I accomplished something really big. I didn’t just learn songs but I learned about how to sing better and express myself through the music. And I hope my Grandfriends feel the same way.” -Charlotte P.

A very special thank you to event sponsors Shop Rite and Starbucks, as well as so many families who donated items and funds to make this event a great success. In addition, the event was captured with beautiful photography taken by Jenny Berberich and Joseph Suh. đź’™ đź’›
