What's happening: Hubbard School hosted itโ€™s 3rd Grade Celebration of Culture last week with impressive success! The event brought together students, teachers, families, and community members to celebrate and appreciate the rich tapestry of cultures represented within the school.

Why it matters: Throughout their musical journey, students have embraced the rich diversity of music by learning pieces in six distinct languages. They explored a global repertoire that expanded their cultural horizons.

โ€œIn their culminating concert, students showcased their newfound skills by performing songs hailing from eight different countries. The audience was treated to a delightful medley of melodies from Italy, France, Ireland, Spain, the Netherlands, South Africa, Japan, and America, reflecting the students' dedication to mastering a broad range of musical styles.โ€ -Ms. Emily McDonald, Hubbard Music Teacher

One fun thing: During the preparation for the concert, some students took on additional challenges by auditioning for special roles. These roles included body percussionists, dancers, or other featured performers, adding an extra layer of creativity and talent to the performance. ๐Ÿ’ƒ

The bottom line: Since the middle of January, these dedicated students have poured their hearts into perfecting their craft and preparing for the concert. Their hard work and commitment have undoubtedly paid off, culminating in a memorable and impressive musical event that celebrated diversity, skill, and the joy of music from around the world. ๐ŸŽผ
