Last week, Hubbard School had the special privilege of welcoming therapy dogs to visit students from Pre-K to 3rd grade. This heartwarming experience not only brought smiles and joy to the students but also supported the whole child by nurturing emotional, social, and cognitive growth.

Therapy dogs provide a calming presence that helps reduce stress, improve focus, and enhance emotional well-being. Through these interactions, students developed empathy, practiced self-regulation, and strengthened their sense of connection to the school community. The dogs also helped foster a sense of safety and comfort, allowing students to feel more relaxed and open to learning.

This visit was a wonderful reminder of the importance of supporting our students’ emotional needs, alongside their academic growth, in creating a well-rounded educational experience. We are grateful to the therapy dogs and their handlers for making such a positive impact on our students!
