Eric S. Smith Middle School Activities
The Character Education Program includes club activities that help to establish supportive relationships between teachers and students. Relationships provide the vehicle for communication, support, and the development of ethical decision-making. The Character Education activities provide an opportunity to discuss issues of importance to our students, develop good decision-making skills, reflect on ethical judgments, and foster a concern for others. Each student at the middle school should feel that there is at least one adult who he/she can trust and go to for advice and help. The first nine clubs on this list are classified as Character Education Clubs and students vote for the clubs to exist each year. The offerings may change yearly.
