What's happening: Members of the Lenape-Munsee tribe recently visited Dater School to present an engaging, interactive lesson to fourth-grade students. This unique presentation provided students with the opportunity to learn about Native American culture.
Connection to Curriculum: This visit aligns with the fourth-grade social studies unit of study, which covers the early colonial period in New Jersey and the other colonies. Students have been learning about the early colonial period including the immigration of Europeans to the Americas and the history of the Native American people living in here.
