Second grade mathematicians in 2-Royle are warming up by using ten frames to figure out how many counters they see. They’re sharing strategies and exploring different ways to make numbers, building a strong foundation for mental math.

Every month, we look forward to coming together as a family during our school assemblies. These gatherings are so important to us because they give us a chance to reinforce the values that make our school special. 💙💛
By spotlighting a new character trait each month, we encourage our students to actively practice and apply these values—like respect and cooperation—in their daily lives. 🌟 These assemblies also help create a sense of community and shared responsibility, where we celebrate students for demonstrating positive behaviors and setting an example for their peers.
Ultimately, these moments help us build a supportive and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and empowered to grow, both academically and personally. 🙌✨

Wear a cap for Down Syndrome Awareness Month tomorrow! 🧢

Hubbard School's Walk to School Wednesday was a success! Our students enjoyed a healthy start to their day, building community and independence along the way. A big thank you to Ms. Gravalis, our teachers, and community members for walking with us and making this special day happen!

Wishing a happy Rosh Hashanah to all who celebrate in our school community. May the new year bring joy, peace, and prosperity. Shana Tova!

Second graders are hard at work sketching and planning their landform projects, exploring the different landforms they’ve been learning about in social studies. Through these hands-on activities, they’re bringing their knowledge of Earth’s features to life. We can’t wait to see their creativity shine!

As a reminder, schools are closed tomorrow in recognition of Rosh Hashanah.

Today we celebrate National Custodian Appreciation Day!
👏 Big impact: Think of all the hours they’ve put in, often when no one is around to see — prepping for events, cleaning classrooms, waxing floors, sanitizing every surface, and making sure everything is in working order. They create an environment where students and teachers can thrive.
💬 A few words of appreciation can go a long way! Today is the perfect time to say thank you to custodians who work tirelessly to keep our schools ready for learning.

⚠️ Navigate the school year with great success by downloading the District’s official school calendar. You can access the calendar through any of the schools or District's homepages in the blue menu bar!
Staying informed about Ramsey’s calendar is a crucial practice for students, parents, and educators alike. This simple habit can have a significant impact on planning, participation, and overall academic success.
An added bonus, Ramsey’s District calendar also includes an observance resource list. 🗓

Happy October 1st from Hubbard School! We’re excited to highlight the incredible cooperation shown by our Hubbard students and staff. One third-grader recently pointed out how books like The Bad Guys teach us that teamwork is the key to solving problems and helping others.
Through the literature we explore, students not only enjoy great stories but also learn essential life skills like cooperation. Let’s all take time this month to reflect on how cooperation can positively impact our school and community. Stay tuned for our next character trait of the month!

Confidence was high in 1C as the children recalled the words they knew in a "snap" from Kindergarten! They went off to write with great energy.

Incredible progress in the first Personal narrative unit in 1Sp 20 days in! It is amazing to see all of the skills the children brought with them from kindergarten!

Of course the reading stamina grew in this classroom! Inspiring book bin titles (children should not think they are a reading level letter!), relaxing autumn cafe music and amazing partner talk! 20 days in! 1B is crushing it!

First grade readers shop for books of interest & get cozy with them in "book nooks"! We are a community of readers!!

1-Berland celebrates uniqueness as we continue to develop our class community 💙🌟

Hubbard PTO Meeting - 9:15am Tomorrow!

Readers in K-Sha were active listeners to their Star Book of the week, Caps for Sale written by Esphyr Slobodkina. Following the story students had the opportunity to collaborate and reflect on the story to retell. This experience guides our foundational reading skills of both comprehension and fluency.
