As part of our celebration of inclusion, two Ramsey High School students and their teacher, Mrs. Margarita Diakos, visited the Hubbard library to read aloud to Mrs. Weissβs third grade class. Julia, a senior at RHS and a student teacher assistant in the STEP classroom, shared her love of learning and her dream of becoming a teacher next year. Hubbard School Pride Day Tomorrow!

Every rehearsal brings us one step closer! Our second graders are working so hard as they prepare for the Holiday Sing, and we cannot wait to see them shine. π€π






Second graders engaged in explicit phonics instruction today as they explored Bossy R triplets through guided modeling and collaborative word work. Their focus and joyful participation supported strong decoding and orthographic mapping.

Snow falling as our students arrived made the morning feel a little extra magical. It may have been cold outside, but nothing but warm smiles walking through the doors. βοΈπ€










So many things to be grateful for here at Hubbard. Our students, our staff, our families, and all the small moments in between remind us that Hubbard is home. While we will miss these faces over the break but we hope everyone enjoys a warm and joyful Thanksgiving with your loved ones. π§‘π¦










This morning we gathered as a school to celebrate two incredible educators: our Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Burkhardt, and our Educational Services Professional of the Year, Ms. Chiu. Moments like this remind us why Hubbard feels like home. We are a community that champions one another, supports our students with lots of heart, and continues to grow together with the help of our wonderful families. What a special way to start the day and kick off Thanksgiving weekend ππβ¨










Our third graders had the best Idiom Day at Hubbard School! Their creativity and confidence filled the halls as they brought language to life. Days like this remind us how joyful learning can be when students take ownership and have fun with words!

IMSE dictation in kindergarten provides an evidence based structure for linking sounds to print. Students practiced listening for individual phonemes, segmenting them, and representing them accurately in writing.

Morphology is the foundation of our word work. Students in 3Lee at Hubbard School are settling into the routines of the three part drill. The teacher says, βThis suffix means more than one or third person singular,β and students write it, say it, and build strong auditory and kinesthetic connections.
