Friday, October 6th was our Student Council elections for the 2023-2024 School Year!
The process of joining the 2023-2024 Student Council Executive Board began in early September.
Students were required to attend interesting meetings, participate in a primary election and campaign, and finally, on October 6th, was the School-Wide Election Assembly, followed by voting for the student.
Why it matters: The student council provides all students with the opportunity to have a voice in their school community, including planning school events fundraisers, and partnering with the school administration. Some important events that StuCo helps lead include the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, Spirt Weeks, and Pep Rallies.
Our Student Council Executives Are…
President: Tommy Pelliciarri
Vice President: Joshua Varghese
Secretary: Hunter Mitchell
Treasurer: Madi Wasek
What they’re saying: Student Council Advisors Mr. Schrettner & Senorita McFadyen say: "All the candidates for this year's student council displayed incredible leadership skills of responsibility, communication, and self-direction. Their dedication to Smith School and the Ramsey community is exemplary."
What’s next: The Student Council will host the annual Halloween Costume Contest on Tuesday, October 31st!👻🎃
