Student Council delivers food collection

It's the season for giving back! Student Council's Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive collection was this past week

Why it matters: The annual food drive collection benefits the local Ramsey Responds food pantry and benefits families and community members in need in Mahwah, Ramsey, and Saddle River

  • By the numbers: This year, our students collected 1,400 items for donations!

  • These donations will help support 200 families this holiday season

  • The homeroom in each grade with the most donations won a donut breakfast, these homerooms are Ms. Meyers, Mrs. Broderick, and Mr. Martone!

What they’re saying: StuCo Advisors, Senorita MacFayden and Mr. Schrettner, said “We are so proud of Smith School for bringing in over 1000 items for the Ramsey Responds Food Drive! Thanks to our School community, we will be feeding over 200 Ramsey families for the holidays. Shoutout to our StuCo officers and homeroom reps for their hard work and help in delivering the food!”

The bottom line: A huge thanks to our Student Council officers and advisors for organizing this important event, and to our Smith School community for their generosity!
