The Young Entrepreneurs Club Holiday Market was held on Wednesday, December 11th!
The Young Entrepreneurs is a club dedicated to having students practice business skills by creating a product, marketing their product, and selling the product at a Holiday Market.
This is the 2nd Annual Holiday Market with 44 students participating with sale items such as Yarn crafts, Holiday baked goods, Magnets, 3-D Printed items, and so much more! Fellow Smith students, staff, and community members came to shop the event
Students have been working on their small businesses since September during weekly meetings after school.
Why it matters: Students should learn business skills because they develop valuable transferable abilities like critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills, which are essential for success in any career path
Clubs like this one gives students an understanding of how businesses operate and contribute to a community!
The bottom line: This year’s event was a great success! Big round of applause for all our participating students for their hard work👏
