🍽Our 2nd Annual International Night was on Wednesday evening!
🍜Students and their families enthusiastically shared cuisine and cultural artifacts representing a wide array of different countries!
This year, the event also featured items contributed for sale by the Young Entrepreneurs Club students, advised by Ms. Brandeis Stracuzzi!
The RHS South Asian Club put together a table and display to demonstrate their group’s role within the high school and broader community
💭Why it matters: Language barriers and cultural differences often prevent many families from connecting to the school community. International Night is a moment for a community to take pride in and celebrate their identities, while simultaneously developing respect and empathy as they learn about other cultures.
✨Special thanks to our World Language Spanish teachers- Senora Merritt, Senor Urbina, and Senora Stokes- for their contributions to the event, our ELL program students & instructor Ms. Margaret Cosgrove, and to our Culinary Arts teacher, Ms. Stephanie Ormaeche (AKA- Chef O) for planning, coordinating, decorating, and executing a night that allowed our community to shine!
