NJ School Jobs of the North Jersey Media Group recently named Mrs. Samantha Campbell as the local honoree for the Amazing Teacher Award!

A graduate of Ramsey High School, Mrs. Campbell received her teaching degree from John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University and has been teaching at Tisdale School for seven years.

At Tisdale, Mrs. Campbell started an Orff Instrument program that allows students to play their xylophone or metallophone when in her classroom.

“Mrs. Campbell provides our students with opportunities to develop an appreciation for our music program  through a well rounded experience of movement, instruments, singing and performance. Her knowledge, dedication and passion for music education are evident in all she does from teaching her large group classes, working with small groups of students, one on one and coordinating our whole school performances and Character Education assemblies.
Mrs. Campbell instills a love of music and performance for our Preschool through grade three students that, for some, is the beginning of a long career within our music program K-12 in Ramsey.” -Gina Aliano, Principal, Tisdale School

In addition to teaching, Mrs. Campbell also serves as the assistant marching band director for the District, and she runs the “Character Ed” program, where students are taught about character traits through community gatherings, books, and fun songs.
