What's happening: Hubbard students Shea and Brynn have chosen to work with the esteemed Forefront Organization for their third grade Profile Project.

  • They're on a noble quest to construct a water well in India, aiming to bring the life-giving gift of fresh water to the deserving villages.

  • Partnering with the Ramsey High School Athletic Department, the students were permitted to to set up snack stands at softball games to raise money.  Over the span of only two games, the duo has raised $250! They are also accepting donations via Venmo which will help them reach their goal of $1,500, the total cost to install a water well.

One fun thing: Shea’s and Brynn’s teacher Ms. Olivia Lee, was able to host Andre Park, Forefront’s Chief People & Culture Officer, to her classroom on Friday.

What they’re saying: "As 3rd grade students, I can't believe we get this fun opportunity to make a difference. It's a great opportunity do things we learned during the school year to persuade and inform people about WHY they should help hear, near, or far get basic needs like clean water." -Shea and Brynn

A Ramsey Graduate: When students use and grow their competencies of empathy, critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity, they’re progressing towards our Profile of a Ramsey Graduate.

Go deeper: The girls plan to continue their snack stand efforts throughout the end of the season. Learn more about Forefront’s efforts.
