What’s happening: Renowned author Gordon Korman brought his storytelling magic to Smith School last Wednesday, engaging students with his remarkable writing journey.
With over 100 middle-grade novels to his name, Korman shared insights into his creative process, encouraging students to embrace imagination and ask "What If?" questions.
Go deeper: Highlighting the roots of his writing passion—which began during his own middle school years—Korman connected deeply with students, demonstrating how personal experiences can fuel storytelling. He spent special time with the 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade Book Clubs, signing books and discussing the intricacies of writing.
