Yi is Unsung Hero

Chloe Yi Honored for Leadership and Contributions to School and Community

Ramsey High School senior Chloe Grace Yi was among 60 students honored at the 2025 Bergen County Unsung Hero Student Recognition Ceremony on March 4 at Bergen Community College. Hosted by the Bergen County School Boards Association, the event celebrates students who positively impact their school communities without seeking recognition.

A Leader in Music and Beyond

Chloe’s musical journey began in fifth grade with Ramsey’s "Sing Out" competition, eventually leading to her integral role in The Ram Jams, RHS’s award-winning A Cappella group. As Chorus President, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership, planning and executing activities that enrich the program. Known for her stage presence and ability to blend choreography with emotion, she has helped elevate performances and guide her peers during rehearsals.

RHS Principal Dr. Thumm described Chloe as "the orchestrator, choreographer, and catalyst" behind performances, ensuring the group is always prepared. He emphasized her universal respect among students and teachers, as well as her lasting impact on the school’s vocal and theater programs.

Balancing a rigorous academic schedule with her artistic commitments, Chloe continually takes on new projects that reflect her passion for learning and creativity. Her contributions have strengthened Ramsey’s music community, and as she moves beyond RHS, her influence will undoubtedly continue to inspire.
