To celebrate their incredible effort and perseverance during i-Ready, LinkIt, and NJSLA testing, the 5th grade students earned a well-deserved movie and popcorn party! The students enjoyed watching Escape from Mr. Lemoncelloโs Library, a fun and adventurous film that perfectly connected to our exciting author visit with Chris Grabenstein earlier this year. ๐ฌ๐ฟ

4Guarnieri has officially jumped into our Realistic Fiction unit! To kick things off, students took time to reflect on their progress as readers and set meaningful goals. This supports them in taking ownership of their learning, and further building a growth mindset. Through realistic fiction, weโll explore characters facing real-world challenges, make connections, and deepen our comprehension. Weโre so excited to explore these elements throughout the unit!

The L.E.A.D. Talent show was a huge success! Our performers showed creativity and courage to share a message about saying no to drugs and bullying. Thank you to Officer Beamon, Ms. Mary, and the Ramsey Police department for making this program possible. Thank you to our amazing PTO volunteers who helped to organize and run the event. Thank you to Mr. Quinlan, our MC, Mr. Bogert for bringing the chorus and Mr. J with the pep band intermission. Fun was had by all! Go Rams! ๐

4O'Hern meeting their crayfish!

As a culmination to persuasive thinking, students in 5Jezequel have been waiting patiently, (2 weeks!), while a rock tumbler created "sea glass". The idea: There is no need to throw broken glass into the ocean to "seed" glass. Under supervision, it can be created using recycled glass!

Dater held its 1st Annual Book Swap, and it was a resounding success! Thanks to the generosity of students, families, and staff, over 1,700 books were donated. The event gave every student the opportunity to take home multiple books, encouraging a love of reading and helping to build personal libraries. The excitement around sharing stories and discovering new favorites made this a memorable celebration of literacy and community spirit. ๐๐
