Dater students LOVE reading! 🩷 When the ITC does not have a book that a student wants, Mrs. Lawley contacts Hubbard or Tisdale to have the book sent over. Thank you Mrs. Lakind for making this student's day!! 😃📚🎉

Mrs. Aujero's 5th grade and Ms. Guarnieri's 4th grade buddy classes came together to build relationships while studying themes and lessons from some of our favorite mentor texts. These literary and real world lessons will launch an ongoing collaboration between our Dater leaders all year! GO RAMS!

Wishing a happy Rosh Hashanah to all who celebrate in our school community. May the new year bring joy, peace, and prosperity. Shana Tova!

Students in 4Chaparro/Ramsden celebrate a student's birthday by playing 7-Up! 🎉🥳🎈

Today we celebrate National Custodian Appreciation Day!
👏 Big impact: Think of all the hours they’ve put in, often when no one is around to see — prepping for events, cleaning classrooms, waxing floors, sanitizing every surface, and making sure everything is in working order. They create an environment where students and teachers can thrive.
💬 A few words of appreciation can go a long way! Today is the perfect time to say thank you to custodians who work tirelessly to keep our schools ready for learning.

What a incredible opportunity for 4Guarnieri and 5Aujero to come together during our morning meeting! The students united to read some key mentor texts, and explore potential themes. We linked these themes to our own experiences, and ways to promote good citizenship! We are so proud of their connections, and collaboration!

⚠️ Navigate the school year with great success by downloading the District’s official school calendar. You can access the calendar through any of the schools or District's homepages in the blue menu bar!
Staying informed about Ramsey’s calendar is a crucial practice for students, parents, and educators alike. This simple habit can have a significant impact on planning, participation, and overall academic success.
An added bonus, Ramsey’s District calendar also includes an observance resource list. 🗓

Happy birthday to our fearless leader, Mrs. Jennifer Glebocki. The Dater students and staff adore you! Thank you for being our "proud principal" every single day! 🥳🎈🎉🎁💐

What a way to start the day! Sometimes 4Davidson does a little freeze dance during Morning Meeting to get excited for the day ahead. 💃🕺🪩

4th graders were thrilled to see a surprise guest in ITC this week: Dater's guidance counselor, Mrs. Fishman! Mrs. Lawley and Mrs. Fishman co-taught a lesson about acceptance, respect, inclusion, and kindness. 🤝

5Thompson had the opportunity to learn from one of their own, as a student bravely shared his experience living with Type 1 Diabetes. The class listened attentively, asked thoughtful questions, and showed incredible support and understanding. It was a powerful moment of learning, empathy, and connection. We're so proud of this student for educating his peers about the challenges he faces every day.

Here at Dater, the rain doesn't stop us! Classes still had a lot of fun during indoor recess. Coming soon: 5th grade students lead Dater, with the privilege of indoor recess in the gym!

Dater had another fantastic schoolwide morning meeting to set the tone for the day. This one was extra special because our 5th grade students in charge of morning announcements were able to do them live, in front of the whole school. Way to go 5Modesto/Azouri! 👏🏼🎬📢

Mrs. Fishman, Dater School's guidance counselor, and Mrs. Lawley, the ITC teacher, co-teach many lessons together throughout the year. Today, 5th graders listened to a read aloud with themes of perseverance, overcoming obstacles, resilience, and connectedness/community, and engaged in a wonderful discussion!

Dater "buddy classes" continue to get together, and there's nothing better than a little extra recess! 4O'Hern and 5Thompson came together for some fun in the sun on Friday afternoon. ☀️ Watching them bond, play, and enjoy the fresh air reminds us just how important it is to make time for joy and connection.

The Dater staff want to thank the amazing Dater families for coming to BTSN last night! We love partnering with you to support all of our students on their educational journeys. 🏫🤝

Students in 4Groenveld are using manipulatives to better understand the new math concepts. They are using square tiles to create arrays of given numbers and then creating paper arrays using graph paper to show all of the factor pairs. These 4th graders love hands-on learning!
