Education is vital to shaping future leaders. At Ramsey School District, we strive to instill in our students the values of leadership, integrity and civic responsibility. We are reminded of this, especially today, as we honor the legacy of our nation's leaders.

Bringing culture and perspective to Dater! To enhance the students' understanding of Native American culture, Mrs. Horton organized an interactive and immersive experience, which included dance and storytelling. Thank you to the O'Blenis family, local members of the Native American community, for sharing their personal experiences, traditions, and beliefs. Connecting this experience to 4th Grade learning helped students develop a deeper appreciation and respect for different cultures and perspectives, fostered empathy and understanding.

Do you remember when Dan Gutman "came" to Dater for our virtual Author Visit in the Fall? Well...he finished the book, Miss Nichols is in a Pickle, that he read the students a sneak peak from. It is his 100th book! To celebrate this wonderful achievement, Dan Gutman and the book illustrator, Jim Paillot, are doing an online event (Sunday, 2/18). They're going to write a My Weird School story, live, in real time, and they're going to use YOUR suggestions in the book. Please attend if you're interested.

The musical talent in our district is AMAZING! Last night's choral collage featured singing groups from Dater, Smith, and the high school. The groups performed separately and together in a fast-paced and exciting show featuring great songs and performances. Special thanks to our vocal teachers: Mr. Bogert (Dater), Mr. Ricigliano (Smith), and Mr. Wolf (RHS).
The arts are alive and well in Ramland!
