Dater and Wandell book club members met to discuss our first book of the year, The Light on Hogback Hill. It was a blast getting to talk about a great book, as well as meet new faces that will eventually become new friends at Smith next year! The students are so excited for our next book club meeting!

Part Two of the Dater Musical pictures for 'Finding Nemo.' It was a performance to remember!

What a show it was! Dater students put on a fabulous show of ‘Finding Nemo.’ The talent, the music, the singing, the costumes, the scene changes and the energy of these 4th and 5th Grade students brought joy to the audience. Congratulations to the directors, cast and crew for a spectacular performance! (Part One.)

Wishing everyone in the Ramsey school community and their loved ones a warm and joyous Thanksgiving.
May it be filled with moments of reflection, appreciation, and the company of those who bring you happiness.

Math Masterminds! Mrs. Groenveld's class used unifix cubes to show and understand division! Hands-on learning is the key to unlocking comprehension!

Word Wizards! 5-Jezequel's class integrates Social Studies and Word Study together by looking at how the -ian suffix (someone who is or someone who does) is used in Mesopotamia: Sumerians, Babylonians, Assyrians, and Phoenicians.

Tomorrow, November 14th is World Diabetes Day! Wear your favorite sport or camp t-shirt. A suggested $1.00 donation to support Camp Nejeda (a summer camp for those with Type 1 Diabetes.)

Happy Diwali to those in the Dater family who celebrate!

Thank you Veterans! Honoring all who served!

Congratulations to these two students for their art achievement as Dater School Artists of the Month! You've not only demonstrated a positive attitude towards your approach to art making and creativity, but you are also endlessly kind and helpful to your classmates! Mrs. Hudson is thankful and proud of these Dater artists!

A few reminders:
1. Please bring a state-issued ID to enter Dater for conferences (even night conferences).
2. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week will have a 12:30 dismissal!
3. School is closed on Thursday and Friday.

Check this out! In a cultural lesson by Senora King, Spanish classes learned about El Día de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead, and how it is celebrated in Mexico. It is a very important happy holiday this time of year in Mexico, and is dedicated to celebrating and honoring the lives of those who have passed away. Students learned about the major symbols and events of the holiday, and made their own papel picado, a type of colorful banner displayed in homes and in streets. Papel Picado represents the wind, and when it moves, it is said that the loved ones' spirits are nearby.
