Diwali and Art at Darer School: Diwali is celebrated with singing, dancing and feasting creating a tremendous sense of community. Traditionally the powders used for art making to celebrate Diwali are made from flowers that friends and family gather, dry and then crushed into fine powders, which are mixed with water to make brilliant colors.
