All smiles after soaking up the sun and fun at recess!

Students in 3Jordan are writing detectives! By studying an exemplary piece of writing, theyโre noticing strong word choices, structure, and craft techniques they can apply to their own work. These intentional reflections help students grow their writing and think like real authors.

Mrs. Murphyโs class is diving into contractions! Students used sentence strips to build word equations like you + will = youโllโand even added a bandaid on the apostrophe to show whatโs missing. What a creative and memorable way to learn how words come together!

Last Friday we wrapped up our March spirit days with "Our Future is Bright!" Students and staff lit up the halls in their brightest neon gear to celebrate all the possibilities ahead. It was a fun and vibrant way to end the week! โค๏ธ๐งก๐ฉท๐๐๐ฉต๐๐

Books, buddies, and big smiles! Last week Mrs. Finnegan's second graders shared their love of reading with Mrs. Reid's preschoolers in a heartwarming storytime. These sweet moments spark confidence, connection, and a lifelong love of learning-for readers big and small!

Wear Blue tomorrow in support of Autism Awareness Month! ๐

Donโt let a little rain get in the way of a wonderful weekend! Wishing our Ramsey community cozy moments, big smiles, and plenty of joy no matter the weather! We can't wait to see our students on Monday, ready for another great week of learning! ๐๐

Check out these artists! Ms. Megna inspires students every day to slow down, think creatively, and always strive for their best. Her message of โQuality over quantityโ extends far beyond the art room and into every classroom at Hubbardโreminding us all to โTake your time, do your best!โ

Students in 2-Royle are fully engaged during math timeโasking questions, sharing strategies, and thinking critically as they tackle new challenges together!

At Hubbard, our character trait of the month is perseveranceโpushing through even when something feels tricky. One of our youngest learners reminded us that sometimes the biggest growth comes from the smallest victories. ๐ชโจ Learning to button up a new coat might seem simple, but it took patience, practice, and determination. Now, the proud smile says it all! Itโs these everyday moments that help build confidence, independence, and the mindset to keep trying. ๐ง ๐ How are you showing perseverance this month?

We canโt wait to see our third graders shine in their final Celebration of Cultures performance as Hubbard students! This special event honors their hard work and highlights the rich diversity theyโve explored throughout their learning journey. Stay tuned!!

Our third grade families are in for a treat! Students are wrapping up their final rehearsals for the upcoming Celebration of Cultures show. Not only does this performance align with Unit 3 in reading and writingโCulture, Curiosity, and Researchโbut it also beautifully bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world connection, showcasing the rich stories and traditions that shape who we are. ๐๐ซ

Students in Mrs. Weissโs class were on the move todayโliterally! They practiced measuring their jumps using inches, feet, and yards, turning math into a fun and active learning experience.

In Mrs. Chantaskiโs first grade class, morning meeting is more than just a routineโitโs a thoughtful way to start the day and build a strong classroom community. Students use the Mood Meter to express how theyโre feeling with words like โecstaticโ or โa bit worried,โ helping them develop emotional awareness and self-reflection. Most importantly, this daily practice creates a safe and supportive space where students feel seen, heard, and valued. When children feel safe to share, theyโre more ready to learn, grow, and support one another.

Mrs. Crispino and Mrs. Fiedeldey, our incredible instructional coaches, work tirelessly behind the scenes to collaborate and share innovative ideas with one another. Recently, our third grade teachers brought one of those ideas to lifeโapplying a strategy from the coaches to support book clubs. Now, students set purposeful goals before meeting with their groups, whether itโs writing a summary, diving into character study, or focusing on a specific reading strategy. A small shift with a big impact! ๐โจ

Miss Beatty, a student teacher from Ramapo College, has been a fantastic addition to 1-Berland! Here she is in action, supporting students with care and enthusiasm. Hubbard School loves supporting aspiring educators as they grow into tomorrowโs teachers!

First graders took on the Newark Museum with wide eyes and curious minds! From art to science, they explored, discovered, and soaked in every moment of wonder. What a memorable adventure!

๐ข Hubbard PTO Meeting โ Tomorrow at 9:15 AM!
Join us in the Hubbard Cafeteria for our monthly PTO meeting. Donโt forget to bring your driverโs license for sign-in. See you there! ๐
What makes Hubbard so special? Itโs the little momentsโlike taking a quick break to visit our flurry friend! No matter the classroom, students are always welcomed with open arms (and paws!) by teachers and staff alike, reminding us that kindness, connection, and comfort are part of the everyday magic at Hubbard School.

Hope you had a wonderful 3-day weekend! We sure missed these smiling faces. While students were off, Hubbard teachers joined forces with our colleagues from Tisdale and Dater to collaborate, learn, and grow together. Weโre excited to bring new ideas and fresh energy into our classrooms this week!
