Students all across Hubbard learned about the character trait of perseverance through different activities as part of School Pride last week. In K-Coleman, students practiced perseverance by carefully balancing multiple dice on a popsicle stick held in their mouths. This age-appropriate challenge helped them experience perseverance in action—staying focused, adjusting their strategy, and not giving up, even when the dice toppled over. How are you showing perseverance this week? Keep pushing forward and embracing challenges! 💪

March Mystery Readers in K-Coleman! Each day, our kindergarteners are treated to a special read-aloud from a parent, grandparent, or special guest. Hearing stories from different voices and perspectives makes reading exciting and fosters a deeper love for literature—what a wonderful way to build lifelong readers!

Today, our preschool through third-grade students participated in an engaging math assembly that had everyone—students and staff alike—thinking like mathematicians! They were shocked to learn that without math, there would be no basketball, football, video games, music, or even space exploration! A huge thank you to our amazing PTO for ensuring that Hubbard students are enriched through events like this, making learning both exciting and meaningful!

"Reading is the gateway skill that makes all other learning possible" - During word study, students in Mrs. Shand's Kindergarten class make use of the tool, Reading Trackers while reviewing their weekly Decodables. IMSE's Decodable books offer opportunity for our students to practice phonics skills & build reading fluency by focusing on words and sounds they have already learned.

Mrs. Linden spent time with K-Cammarata teaching students about the Mood Meter and how to recognize and manage their feelings. Through engaging discussions and activities, students learned valuable strategies to navigate their emotions and support one another!
