Señora Stokes, Señora Kenduck, Señorita MacFadyen & Señora Merritt are celebrating Día de los Muertos and eating the traditional dish of pan de muertos in their classes!

The mystery has been solved! Word in the halls is that Coach Blacido stole Dr. Esdale's shoes when he saw them left in the locker room after Mr. Christiansen 'forgot' them. He thought they were a gift from someone because the RHS Boys Soccer team is doing so well and he has a major game tonight! He wanted to wear them for good luck.
Although Mr. Urbs had his eye on them, they weren't the right size. Mrs. Morfing, Mrs. Ung and Mrs. Csengeto all had solid reasons to steal the shoes, but ultimately, they were outsmarted by Mr. Christiansen, who hid them in the locker room where no one could find them (or so he thought!).
Thank you everyone that participated and made this a fun event for Team 7-1. Also, thank you to Dr. Esdale for providing us with his shoes!

The Smith Best Buddies chapter had their first event! Our teams used their communication and problem solving skills to complete a scavenger hunt around the building! It was a huge success and we can’t wait for next time!

Reflection is key to lifelong learning: In sixth-grade social studies, we recently completed our first performance task of the year. Today, students spent the period reflecting on their learning before participating in a community circle💭

Happy November! 🦃
Friday, November 3rd will be our Blue & Gold Spirit Day for the month of November.

Happy Halloween, Smith School! 👻🎃

Smith Staff goes all out in Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Our faculty showed their support for this important cause and collected money towards Relay For Life

Last week, Ms. Garcia & Ms. Kelly hosted Edgar Allan Poe day in the library! Students across all grades were invited in to learn about the American Gothic Horror author, hear guest readers tell the classic Tell Tale Heart, and watch The Simpson's adaptation of one of his most notable works- The Raven! It was the perfect way to get into the Spooky Spirit

🌎 The benefits of investments are far-reaching:
🌟 A generation of students ready to tackle global challenges.
🌟 A workforce prepared for the jobs of tomorrow.
🌟 A world where every child has the opportunity to shine.

Students in 7th grade science conducted an experiment of Electrolysis (Running an electric current) through water! By doing this, students separated water into its separate parts, giving us hydrogen and oxygen gas. Check out the video demonstration by Ms. Broderick! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1p95nvvKGCcre_e0iYOdi0SLiziqbF70_/view?usp=sharing

In a world filled with challenges, our teachers stand strong leaders with great knowledge, inspiration, and support. They're the everyday heroes who shape the future, one lesson at a time. 📚✨

Friday's Ram Fact.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Enrollment is rising! Students at RHS continue to explore exciting opportunities, especially within our music/band programs with numbers above historical averages. We love to see it Ramsey!

WIN Wednesdays are for solving a mystery! The 7-1 Flamingos are trying to crack the case of the missing shoes. Dr. Esdale’s sneakers are missing and the team got to analyze the evidence and create theories about who the culprit could be. Next week, they will go on a scavenger hunt to solve the crime🔍👟🧐

This pathway brings accessibility to the project by meeting the needs and preferences of students. It also deepens our implementation of our unique graduation requirement.

Curricular expansion: Smith Middle School now offers these courses, providing students the opportunity to have an introduction to both concepts in semester-long instruction.

Today @ Smith:
Ms. Csengeto's 7th grade are sharing their thinking work and reflecting today as students work through the last day of Unit 1.
