Ms. Garcia's class had a google meet with Daniel Johnson, a candidate for Rockland County Legislature. We spoke about how local government can work to build better communities. He told us about his work with the United Auto Workers strike and how government officials can help workers and create change.

Students in sixth grade collaboratively modeled and explored the distributive property by building upon their prior knowledge.

Mr. Sirota came in and spoke to Ms. Garcia's class about his role as president of the REA. He spoke to them about how unions work for their members. He also taught them the importance of compromise and working together to achieve change!
