Principal's Message

Parents, Community Members and Guests,

It is with great pride that I work alongside the staff in continuing to foster an educational community that promotes learning as a rewarding and lifelong experience. Together we encourage children to function at their highest level by providing quality educational programs that are unique to their academic, emotional and social needs.

Tisdale School is one of two primary (preschool – grade 3) schools in Ramsey, NJ. We are committed to academic excellence in a caring environment where independence, critical thinking, problem solving, and a sense of responsibility are developed. Our classroom experiences are designed so that all of our students develop the necessary skills and strategies to become lifelong learners and face the challenges of the 21st Century. Our success with student performance on national, state, and local assessments can be directly attributed to the dedicated efforts of our teachers and support staff.

Parents are an integral part of our school community. They volunteer and provide funds for a variety of activities which support the mission of the school such as assembly programs, class trips, school supplies, and upgrades to technology. This strong partnership with parents, the community, our PTO and the Ramsey Education Foundation benefits all of our students.

A recurring theme within Tisdale School is that everyone is a part of the community of learners. Our strong character education program ensures that our students develop the skills to work cooperatively with others, respect others, and think critically.

Tisdale School is a very special place where administrators, children, faculty, and parents all work together in achieving common goals. Open lines of communication between home and school are welcomed and parents work with staff collaboratively to support classroom instruction through a variety of activities such as Meet the Masters, Mystery Readers, Library Volunteers, School Store and Holidays Around the World.

We thank our Tisdale parents for sharing the gift of your children with us and entrusting them in our care. Each child that walks through the doors of Tisdale Elementary School brings with them a uniqueness and array of talents that contributes to our positive school culture and overall success. They represent the heart of our school, and we look forward to learning what makes each one of them exceptional.

Sincerely,

Gina G. Aliano

Principal
