Wednesday’s all-school morning meeting brought big excitement at Dater School, as the theme for this year’s fall musical was revealed: Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. Students cheered as their teachers appeared in costume as Ariel, Prince Eric, Ursula, and Sebastian—giving everyone a sneak peek of the fun to come!
Registration is now open for students who wish to participate. Student permission slips are due back Monday, 9/8 for Tuesday’s interest meeting on the 9th from 3:00 - 3:45 . What a great way to bring 5th grade to an end... things CHANGE when people take action. Students consider unfair treatment as they reflected on how barriers can be removed when people change the way they think.

Day 4 of Undercover Spirit Week was "Dress Like a Student" Day. The teachers' outfits did not disappoint! They were so good that it was even hard to tell them apart from the students in the hallway! 😂
Days 2 and 3 of Undercover Spirit Week were fun and festive! On Tuesday, teachers taught lessons in socks and sandals. 🧦 🩴 Today, students didn't know if it was October, December, or July! Teachers dressed up to represent their favorite holidays. 🎃🎄🇺🇸 Students can't wait to see what Thursday and Friday will bring!
Have you heard people talking about Dater's Undercover Spirit Week? Students are starting to realize something silly is going on at Dater! To celebrate the end of the year, each day, teachers are participating in a mystery spirit day, and students have to guess what it is. Monday started off with "Anything but a cup" Day. Teachers walked the hallways drinking beverages out of pineapples, blenders, and baby bottles! Stay tuned for more theme days...

Students in 4CR exploring Ireland on a budget! Students dive into real-world math as they plan a six-day Irish adventure, balancing spending and budgeting through project-based learning. 🍀💰✈️
To wrap up an amazing Field Day at Dater School, students took part in the Ice Bucket Challenge for mental health awareness! By donating $1–$5, they cast their votes for which teacher would get iced—and the results were both chilly and unforgettable! A fun, meaningful way to cool off and support a great cause. 💧🧊💙
Our Dater 5th graders had an unforgettable time at Field Day, showing off their incredible teamwork and school spirit—even in the heat! Dressed in festive attire and bright colors, students cheered each other on, competed with heart, and celebrated the end of the year with energy and smiles all around. The sunshine couldn't stop the fun! ☀️🎉
