The big picture: Through strategic partnerships with local businesses including Brady's, Mindful Cafe, DSW, Chartwells, and Petco, the program has expanded its reach beyond initial reliance on the school district.

Participants, aged 18-21, are set to age out of the program this year or next. This marks a significant milestone for these budding professionals, as they transition from volunteering to paid positions.
Among them is Paige, who now works at Mindful Cafe, taking on responsibilities like restocking kitchen supplies, preparing smoothies, and serving as an invaluable assistant to the chef.
Hudson is currently in the process of applying at DSW. The program is equipping him with the tools to ask for references, write cover letters, and build the life skills necessary for success.
