What's happening: Last week, Mr. Carmen Lacherza, Ramsey’s Supervisor of English Language Arts and Services, delivered a presentation at the New Jersey School Board Association’s annual workshop, alongside Susana Matos-Kruck of Up The Bar Educational Achievement.
The presentation focused on implementing a comprehensive wrap-around model for professional development at Hubbard and Tisdale schools, with emphasis on training and coaching teachers to effectively integrate supports for multilingual learners.
Why it matters: Ramsey is dedicated to creating meaningful professional learning experiences to support the needs of all of our learners. By using research-based training and intentional coaching, we support our teachers by putting theory into practice.
What they are saying: “It was an absolute pleasure to share our work with school districts across the state. I consider myself fortunate to collaborate with such a thoughtful and devoted staff that makes this work possible.” - Carmen Lacherza, Ramsey School District
The big picture: In addition to Mr. Lacherza’s presentation, Ramsey School District Board of Education President, Laura Behrmann, was a panelist for a discussion entitled, Changing the Culture of Your Board.
