🏆Congratulations to Margarita Diakos and Nicole Wohlrab, Ramsey High School’s Governor’s Educator of the Year honorees. We are so proud of you!

Why it matters: The Governor’s Educator of the Year Program recognizes educators who have gone above and beyond in their service to New Jersey’s students.

Nicole Wohlrab: Governor's Educational Services Professional of the Year Nicole has leveraged her role as RHS’s Media Specialist to elevate our instructional practices and student outcomes, and to connect networks within our school to the greater community.

The big picture: Since joining Ramsey High School in January 2019, Nicole has transformed the Media Center from a place for media consumption to a place for media production.

What's next: The space will house multiple collaborative spaces to support the production of our Yearbook, Literary Magazine, School Newspaper, Social Media posts, and a TV/Sound production studio.

What they’re saying: "I'm humbled and honored to be named the Educational Services Professional of the Year at Ramsey. Working with teachers, administration, and our amazing students at RHS is a true joy. The warm welcome from this community makes me proud to be a Ram, and I'm excited to continue contributing to our shared success." -Nicole Wohlrab, RHS Media Center Specialist

Margarita Diakos: Governor’s Educator of the Year Margarita’s effective instructional methodologies, positive learning outcomes, and leadership in relationship building make her deserving of this honor.

The big picture: She transcends her role as a classroom teacher and promotes inclusion in programs, coursework, and activities.

What's next: Continuing to create mutually beneficial growth opportunities.

What they’re saying: â€śIt is such an honor to be recognized for my passion as an educator and the work I do within S.T.E.P. at Ramsey High School. It truly takes a village, and this award given to me just as much belongs to the paraprofessionals, child study team, support service providers, general education teachers, parents, and the Ramsey community who help me create a community that embraces and celebrates all of our differences and strengths on a daily basis. Our students are always at the forefront of everything we do, and this honor is a result of the dedication we share in providing students of all abilities with the opportunity to succeed. Without the support of this incredible community, I would not be the educator I am today. THANK YOU!” -Margarita Diakos, Special Education Teacher, RHS
