In this thrilling era of lightning-fast technology, the value of computer science education is sky-high! The students of Ramsey School District have the opportunity to explore, learn, and uncover the magic of this vital discipline more than ever before. Through an array of events in addition to curricular opportunities, students were able to dive deeper into innovation and progress.
HUBBARD/TISDALE/DATER: A notable highlight is the annual recognition of Computer Science Education Week, which took place from December 4th through 9th. Throughout December, K-5 students are actively engaged in computer science exploration under the guidance of their media specialists.
SMITH MIDDLE SCHOOL: Smith Middle School provides three distinct exploratory classes in Computer Science, namely Game Design & Mixed Reality, Designing with Code, and Programming and Emerging Technologies. Smith's computer science teacher, Mr. Frisch, organized an Hour of Code event on December 6th to cater to the interests of students eager to participate.
RHS: Ramsey High School students enjoy a range of options, including Computer Programming I and II, AP Computer Science Principles, or AP Computer Science A. This ensures that students, whether they are freshmen or seniors, have access to a comprehensive computer science curriculum.
