Ramsey's first match of the season against West Milford’s Unified bowling team was nothing short of amazing!
What's happening: Playing the Baker format, each sub team lineup consisted of four bowlers and a substitute bowler who all worked cohesively as one. The Baker format, also known as the “team game,” requires each player within the lineup to be responsible for 2-3 frames out of a ten frame game. Ultimately, the players within the lineup share the overall score and play a total of six games!
Big impact: Here are the results!
Team 1: Series Score 425 Rams - 371 WM (John, Fiona, Natalie, Juliana, and Vinny)
Team 2: Series Score 510 Rams - 505 WM (Hudson, Zainab, Kevin, Gabe, and Justin)
Team 3: Series Score 485 Rams - 582 WM (Angus, Faiza, Paige, Maddie, and Shankar) *Although they lost, they played with heart and a drive to do their absolute best.
Why it matters: Spirits and morale were high, and the sportsmanship displayed by both Unified bowling teams was outstanding. Everyone worked together, cheered one another on, and gleamed with pride in their own accomplishments and those of others. Unified bowling is a sport that allows athletes of all abilities to shine, and these Unified bowlers shined together. Go Rams! 🐏
