WEEK OF INCLUSION: RHS celebrated a Spirit Week/Week of Inclusion from March 4 through March 8, alongside SEL week. This is an opportunity to recognize the intentional efforts taken at RHS to create a welcoming, inclusive and respectful environment for every student, every day. Students and staff were encouraged to participate in these themed days:
Monday: Neon Day - The future is BRIGHT with inclusion! Wear your neon and represent the Unified Generation!
Tuesday: Tie-Dye Day - Just like tie-dye, we’re all made up of different colors and patterns but when you INCLUDE everyone, you get a beautiful picture!
Wednesday: Inclusion Day - Wear ORANGE for the Day of Inclusion!
Thursday: School Spirit Day - When everyone is INCLUDED, we’re all on the same team! Wear your school colors or team jersey to show your community that everyone belongs!
Friday: Comfy Day - Wear your favorite comfortable clothes and get comfy with INCLUSION! Our schools are more comfy for all of us when everyone is included!
Youth Activation Leaders for Special Olympics' Unified Champion Schools NJ Paige Eleazar and Kayla O'Rourke played an important role in developing each theme.
