Math

What's happening: Twenty-eight Ramsey High School sophomore and junior pre-calculus students have stepped up to the challenge and participated in the first-ever Monmouth University Math Contest.

  • This rigorous, one-hour contest comprised nine questions covering Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and Data Analysis/Statistics.

Why it Matters: The top five scores from Ramsey will form our โ€œschool team,โ€ with scores sent to Monmouth University.

  • The top three participating schools and scorers will be honored on the Monmouth University mathematics website.

  • Additionally, top-scoring students will receive certificates recognizing their outstanding achievements.

What Theyโ€™re Saying: โ€œWeโ€™re happy to provide so many eager students the opportunity to enjoy participating and challenging themselves in mathematics in a low-pressure setting at the end of a successful year of learning! Our students strongly demonstrate their ability to think critically and creatively to approach such abstract problems.โ€ -Melissa Cruz, Supervisor of Math & Business Education
