What's happening: Seven Ramsey High School students recently auditioned for and earned seats in the prestigious 2024-25 New Jersey All-State Chorus. 🎉
The big picture: About 1,300 students auditioned from throughout New Jersey for an opportunity to be in the All-State Chorus.
Students prepared and recorded an audition in March that was adjudicated virtually by choir directors from all participating schools throughout New Jersey.
Next year, they will perform in one of two concerts in November or February (randomly assigned) as part of the New Jersey Education Association conference or the New Jersey Music Educators conference, respectively.
Each group is conducted by a guest clinician known to be at the top of the field of choral music education.
Why it matters: This accomplishment is a testament to our students exceptional musical talent and dedication and our District’s investment in musical education.
The audition process is highly competitive, involving students from all over the state who are evaluated on their vocal skills, musicality, and overall performance.
Securing a spot in the All-State Chorus is a significant achievement, reflecting not only individual excellence but also the quality of Ramsey High School's music program.
The bottom line: 🤩 Having seven students accepted into the All-State Chorus marks a remarkable milestone for Ramsey High School. It is the highest number of students from the school to achieve this honor in recent memory, providing them with an opportunity to collaborate with other talented musicians from across New Jersey. 🎶
