The first district-wide Tommy Strong Day, held on September 29 was a HUGE success, with donations totaling over $1,200! All of our schools came together by “Going Gold” for Childhood Cancer Awareness.
Why it matters: Tommy FitzPatrick, an honorary member of the Class of 2031, lost his courageous battle with pediatric cancer in 2019. He would have been in 6th at Smith School this year. Tommy inspired many people with his bravery and his resilience.
In his memory, the FitzPatrick family started the Tommy Strong Foundation to support children fighting pediatric cancer and their families. We honor Tommy’s life by spreading kindness and doing good for others.
