Did you know that November is National Gratitude Month? This is the perfect time to teach our students how to show gratitude!
Why is it important? Practicing gratitude is an important skill for our students to possess. Gratitude is a powerful emotion that can help students appreciate things in their lives. When we can reflect on the things we are thankful for and show gratitude for even the little things we are happier!
What can you do at home? Here are some ideas for incorporating gratitude with your child at home.

Discussions: Engage your child in a conversation about what gratitude means to them and help them reflect on things they are grateful for each day. Here are some questions you can ask to help start the discussion.
What is something that makes you smile?
What is an activity that you enjoy?
Who is someone you love?
Where is a place you like to go?
Gratitude List: Help your child write down a list of things or people they are grateful for. Challenge them to add one idea to their list each day, helping them focus on the little things we may normally take for granted!
Gratitude Card: Have your child create a card for someone they are grateful for. This can help students realize they can spread gratitude!
