⚛️This week, a portable hands-on museum was brought to Tisdale School! Students in all grades had the opportunity to learn and explore with interactive centers and activities.

The big picture: STEAM education is a nationwide initiative that encourages critical thinking, increases science literacy, and enables the next generation of innovators. STEAM stands for:

  • Science- introduce students to examples of physics and material sciences

  • Technology- programmable robots, 3D printers, state-of-the-art microscopes, and much more

  • Engineering- explore, design, build, and test designs in fun and creative ways

  • Art- creative thinking connecting art and science

  • Mathematics- problem-solving skills to reach solutions

Big impact: STEAM education plays a crucial role in fostering creativity and critical thinking among students. By encouraging interdisciplinary learning, STEAM empowers students to approach problems from multiple perspectives, enhancing their problem-solving skills.
