The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and/or the gifted. CEC advocates for appropriate governmental policies, sets professional standards, provides continual professional development, advocates for newly and historically underserved individuals with exceptionalities, and helps professionals obtain conditions and resources necessary for effective professional practice.
The conference featured cutting-edge Professional Development and networking opportunities. A wide array of sessions were geared to meet the interests and needs of those working with children with special needs.
Kaylin Bessler, Ramsey High School Social Studies teacher, presented the following at NJCEC: Empowering Education with Artificial Intelligence (Al): Strategies for the Classroom.

S.T.E.P. students celebrated their heritages after months of research by inviting guests of honor to try the foods they made to represent their cultures and presenting all they learned about where their families come from. While celebrating our differences, we also found so many things we have in common.
