The RHS History Club was enthralled by Mrs. Ilene Hacker of St. George, Utah. Ilene shared her stories of growing up as a Downwinder and how the US nuclear testing program impacted her life and those of her family and friends. Students learned how radioactive fallout from nuclear testing continues to cause high cancer rates in certain communities around the world.
