Profile project in action! Second graders at Tisdale School participated in a lesson on dental health as part of a graduating senior's Profile Project. They loved her Nearpod lesson and learned a lot too!

Students in 3L are building their conceptual knowledge of perimeter using square tiles. Students created rectilinear figures with the tiles, drew a picture of the figure and solved for the perimeter!

Tisdale students are learning how to keep their bodies healthy from the inside out! They are working on learning about balanced meals, "sometimes" foods vs "everyday" foods, and the food groups.






Students in 3C presented their informational writing topic to the class. They taught the class about a topic they are passionate about and know a lot about. They researched, analyzed, generated questions, took notes and synthesized information! The best part? Presenting all they learned to their classmates!

Preparations are underway for the Holiday Sing!

WIN is the perfect time to meet students' individual learning needs. By forming groups and centers, teachers can meet students where they are and target specific skills such as phonics, fluency, and comprehension all at the same time 📖📓📚




Arrays can't trick us! 2K is learning about arrays by using tiles to build rectangles and writing the addition sentence to match!



What's better than learning cool facts? 2nd grade students love to jot down new information from their nonfiction books!




Everything is better with a buddy! Our first and second graders love meeting each week to write poetry together.





Students take the floor to share their writing as classmates also give GLOW and GROW feedback on the piece. Nothing better than using student writing and mentor texts!
