What's happening: On January 1st, 2025, The Robert H. "Mickey" Mac Farran Foundation is holding a Mahwah vs. Ramsey Alumni Ice Hockey game at the Ice Vault in Wayne. There will be a "Chuck-a-Puck 50/50", there will be tricky tray raffles and silent auction items and as well as other activities.
Go deeper: This past Spring Mr. Robert "Mickey" Mac Farran unexpectedly passed away. He was a Ramsey High School, Farleigh Dickinson University and FBI Academy graduate, Army Veteran, retired Mahwah Police Officer, retired Mahwah High School Security Officer and Dean of Discipline.
For many years, he coached Mahwah sports teams, being an integral part of the early years of Mahwah Youth Ice Hockey and was Chairman of the Mahwah Recreation Committee for many years. He was also a great supporter of Ramsey Hockey thru the years while watching his grandsons develop and play for the Ramsey Hockey Association. His family has setup a charitable foundation in Mr. Mac Farran's name.
